The PMN solution addresses the need to provide secure communications rapidly when an incident occurs.
The network uses encrypted GSM, ensuring privacy. Mobile phones have to be registered to the private network, ensuring other phones cannot connect without approval.
The RDU can be used to enable local cover for fire, police and ambulance crews in the event of an incident where communication is lost or overloaded.
